Missing work due to poor dental health

The Office of National Statistics has produced figures showing about 18000 people missed work in the last 3 months of 2010 due to dental problems. Women are apparently twice as likely to miss work than men !

Good dental health would therefore reduce need for time off work, and with sick days costing the economy £30 billion+ there is another obvious benefit to keeping your teeth healthy - ie get Us out of this damn mess a bit quicker.

Eating habits during the working day can contribute to tooth decay, with increasing snacking and grazing being blamed. The 3 square meals a day principle with between meals periods kept sugar free is far better for the teeth.
